THE PAN-AMERICAN CONFERENCE OF TRAFFIC, TRANSPORTATION ENGINEERING AND LOGISTICS (PANAM) 2018

The Universidad Nacional de Colombia at Medellin (UN) with its Research Group in Roads and Transportation (VITRA) was selected by the Pan-American Society for Transportation Research (PANAMSTR), to organize the XX Pan-American Conference of Traffic, Transportation Engineering and Logistics (PANAM). It is the fourth time that Colombia has organized this great event. However, this is the first time organized in Medellin, an internationally awarded city for its recent advances in mobility issues.
We are very grateful and happy to be your hosts, and we wish to give you a great welcome by celebrating this event of the twentieth version of the most important congress of Ibero-America in Traffic, Transportation Engineering and Logistics. For what this means, we want it to be an unforgettable event for its quality, call and projection to the community. PANAM 2018 in Medellin wants to be the congress of the sustainability of transportation in Ibero-America, the congress of the consolidation of our academic networks, and of our Pan-American Society for Transportation Research.
The PANAM 2018 summons, as it has done throughout its history (20 versions), academics, researchers, professionals, business executives and public officials to present and discuss advances in research, methodological, technical and technological development in its pillars: traffic, transportation engineering and logistics.
